Suntex Marina Investors, LLC (Suntex) is expanding its presence in the Florida Keys with its acquisition of Conch Harbour Marina, a well-established destination located in Key West’s Historic Seaport.

Why Suntex chose Conch Harbour Marina
Located in the “Bight” or one of the busiest protected marina areas in the Florida Keys, Conch Harbour Marina is acknowledged for its ideal location and high-end amenities. Steps from Duval Street, Key West’s vibrant entertainment hub, the marina provides direct access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean.
Conch Harbour Marina has over 40 slips available and accommodates vessels up to 60-metre (200-feet), while offering power, pump-out services and transient slip bookings. The marina is also an exclusive ValvTect dealer in Key West, providing non-ethanol ValvTect gasoline and ultra-low sulfur diesel with high-speed filling from an easy-access dock.

Conch Harbour Marina also offers a wide range of on-site amenities, including a ship store, a West Marine store, showers, laundry facilities and a swimming pool. Visitors can enjoy bait and fishing supplies, as well as two popular restaurants at the destination, Dante’s Restaurant & Tiki Bar and Prime 951 Steakhouse. The marina offers scuba diving, fishing, and sailing charters, a private lounge area with hammocks and complimentary bike rentals for guests looking to explore the area.

Key West’s boating and marine scene
The region is known for its pristine waters and diverse marine life, with the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary protecting the surrounding ecosystem, including the only living coral barrier reef in the continental United States. Additionally, Conch Harbour Marina has been designated a Clean Marina by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Thousands of recreational and commercial boaters visit the area to enjoy fishing, diving, snorkelling and other water sports every year. Key West is often regarded as a premier yachting destination in the United States and attracts over two million visitors annually.

The acquisition of Conch Harbor Marina strengthens Suntex’s position in Florida’s luxury boating market and enhances Suntex’s ability to cater to the needs of luxury boaters as the perfect destination.
“We are excited to add this historic facility to our portfolio with its longstanding place as a staple in the local community,” Sam Chavers, Senior Vice President of Operations at Suntex Marinas, expressed the significance of the historic seaport. “This marina is important to the heart of Key West’s historic seaport. We respect the impact it has on the local area and are looking to continue to build our relationships with and grow this community.”
