SF Marina, in collaboration with Swedish company Malte Group AB, has introduced a turnkey floating fuel dock designed to provide marinas, harbours, and waterfront operators with an efficient and environmentally responsible refuelling solution. The system eliminates the need for shore-based infrastructure of a traditional fuel dock while ensuring ecologically safe storage and distribution of diesel and gasoline.

SF Marina’s floating fuel dock is a turnkey solution built to offer a stable, high-performance marina fuel service. The floating marina fuel solution ensures a low centre of gravity and exceptional stability with its SF Marina 1240 floating concrete pontoon.
With a commercial-grade design of a modest 0.6-metre freeboard, it provides easy docking for a wide range of vessel types. The dock measures between 15 and 31-metre. The structure can be anchored using chains with concrete blocks or standard piles and can be transported by road or water.
Innovative fuel storage and dispensing solutions
SF Marina’s high-performance fuel dock offers benefits that make it an ideal floating dock for marinas and waterfront facilities. The SF Refuel Dock meets the strictest environmental safety regulations in alignment with the Swedish NFS 2021:10 and MSBFS 2018:3 regulations.
One of its standout features is the ability to operate unmanned. The SF Marina pontoon offers an efficient refuelling infrastructure, accommodating diverse operational needs, with fuel capacities ranging from 10,000 to 60,000 litres. The turnkey solution can also control fuel spill risks with its automatic onboard systems with numerous leakage sensors and integrates seamlessly into different marina layouts and vessel types.
The Malte fuel dispensers and pumps are user-friendly for both marina staff and vessel owners. Additionally, its configurable fuel tanks allow storage of up to four different fuel types, including sustainable options like hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO) and methanol.
