The Marina Industries Association (MIA) has announced that Ocean Marina Jomtien in Pattaya, Thailand, has achieved the country’s first Platinum 5 Gold Anchor status. The award marks the first time a marina in Thailand has received the highest level of accreditation.

Marina on the Gulf of Thailand
Ocean Marina Jomtien is located along the Gulf of Thailand and offers over 450 berths for vessels up to 75-metre. The marina includes full vessel maintenance facilities, a variety of on-site marine service providers and leisure amenities.

Andrew Chapman CMM, The Marina Industries Association’s (MIA) President, visited the marina a number of times and was not surprised by the assessment outcome and expressed, “In addition to its berthing and maintenance services, this impressive marina complex incorporates a full-service resort including a 76-room hotel, an array of food and beverage options and high-quality leisure facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a gymnasium, steam rooms and saunas. Business needs can even be taken care of on the go, with access to a full range of business services, including meeting spaces.”
Thailand’s first marina to achieve Platinum 5 Gold Anchor
The global accreditation is awarded to marinas that offer their customers a comprehensive and unique marina experience through exceptional boating facilities, personalised service and high-quality amenities.
The Platinum 5 Gold Anchor accreditation will be officially presented at the 2025 Nautilus Marine Insurance Marina of the Year Awards on 6 May in Sydney.

Recognised marina
Ocean Marina has also been recognised before. The marina was awarded the “Best Marina Berth Facilities in Thailand” last year, and accredited as a Superyacht Ready Marina and International Clean Marina.
An independent survey of the marina’s berth holders, which is part of the Gold Anchor assessment, scored 97% from the marina’s customers.
Managing Director of Ocean Property Co. Ltd, Napong Paripontpochanapisuti, stated, “We are very proud to be Thailand’s first Platinum 5 Gold Anchor marina. While we are very proud to be recognised for our facilities, we appreciate that it is our team who deliver what is most important, and that is a very high level of personalised service, and we are very proud and grateful to them”.
