Hamble Point Marina, part of MDL Marinas’ UK portfolio, has commenced construction of new toilet and shower facilities as part of a £500,000 redevelopment project, set to open for the 2025 boating season.

Located at the mouth of the River Hamble and offering direct access to the Solent, the marina is set to enhance its standing as one of the most customer-focused destinations for competitive sailors and leisure cruisers alike.
The modernised amenities will feature energy-efficient systems, including (Passive Infrared) PIR-operated lighting and ventilation. The upgrade introduces modern cubicle designs, inclusive family-friendly areas and dedicated accessible facilities aimed at improving comfort and usability for berth holders and visitors.
According to Debbie Burns, Manager of Hamble Point Marina, “We’re excited to begin work on this important upgrade. Our customers deserve the very best, and this investment emphasises our ongoing dedication to improving their experience. The new facilities will not only be more accessible but also set a new standard in comfort and convenience for all boaters visiting Hamble Point Marina.”
The development is part of a broader £1.2 million investment initiative across Hamble Point Marina, which also includes upgrades to roadways, parking areas and waste management infrastructure.
As MDL Marinas strengthens its footprint across the UK and Europe, the enhancements at Hamble Point reflect the group’s long-term commitment to sustainability, innovation and customer satisfaction in marina operations.
